AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hebrew media have revealed that since the beginning of its war against Iran and Lebanon—now entering its 38th day—Israel has incurred costs of approximately $15 billion.
According to a report by Al Jazeera, the Hebrew newspaper *Calcalist* reported that the cost of the ongoing war with Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon has reached approximately 47 billion shekels (nearly $15 billion), and with the continuation of hostilities and the expansion of its economic consequences, this figure will increase in the coming period.
This Israeli newspaper, which specializes in economics, announced that the Israeli Ministry of Defense has requested approximately 39 billion shekels ($12.4 billion) to cover military expenses, and it is predicted that if the war continues or similar conflicts are repeated, this figure will also increase in the year 2026.
It was also noted that this war—now in its sixth week—strengthens the likelihood of a long-term increase in Israel's security budget, rather than providing grounds for its reduction, especially as preparations for potential further confrontations with Iran and Hezbollah are on Israel's agenda.
In the agricultural sector related to processing industries (such as canning), severe effects have also been reported, with processing plants in northern Israel forced to reduce their operations, which has negatively impacted the collection of agricultural produce.
